Its multi-layered TPU (thermoplastic urethane) construction allows for superb protection of the underlying paint with a self healing top coat - available in matte, satin or gloss - to make sure your PPF looks as good as the day it was installed.

FAQs

  • PPF is designed to act as a sacrificial layer applied on top of your paint, allowing your paint surface to remain undamaged by stone chips, UV rays and chemical corrosion. Additionally, its self-healing topcoat allows it to heal from minor scratches and scuffs simply by exposing it to heat.

  • When applied correctly, PPF can protect your paint from the following elements: 

    • UV rays 

    • Dirt & road debris  

    • Chemical stains and corrosion 

    • Acid rain  

    • Minor scratches  

    • Water spots

    In addition, its self-healing capabilities mean that minor scratches do no damage to your PPF itself, with a simple application of heat (hairdryer, boiling water, hot sunny day) pulling scratches out of the PPF surface. 

    • If properly cared for, PPF can last for many years - Fusion TPU PPF is offered with a 10-year limited manufacturer warranty. However, this lifespan is dependent on the quality of the application - which is why only approved installation centres such as AKS Auto Styling are able to ensure the lifespan of our PPF products.
